i have been doing so much repeat pattern-creating in illustrator lately and i love it. however, i feel a little bit cramped creatively. i signed up for flora bowley’s bloom true painting course to help break out of my self-imposed confinements.
we were traveling so i missed the first week, but i got out of the car after about 500 miles of being on the road and i broke out my paints. i got through the first week of class content. and it’s so awesome.
some of my goals or intentions for this course are to let go. just let the paint flow and not worry about the end result. it was so fun to make marks tonight without any thought or concern about what comes next. i put on florence + the machine :: ceremonials, which is like my life soundtrack lately, and got into such a groove. this is exactly what i needed.
You and I seem to be taking the same two e-courses at the same time and coincidentally, I too am a surface designer.

Love the paintings- I took that e-course in February & it rocked my world! I was in the same boat as you as well- I missed the first week & played catch-up, but it was SO worth it. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
